Otunba Afolabi Defects to PDP, Cites APC's 'Irregularities and Injustices' in Governorship Primary"

ONDO STATE, NIGERIA.

In a significant political development, Otunba Oyediran Afolabi, a grassroots politician and deputy coordinator of the Wale Akinterinwa Loyalist group, has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a public notice issued today, Otunba Afolabi announced his decision to leave the APC, citing the party's "irregularities and injustices" during the last Governorship primary election in April. He claimed that the election did not reflect the will of the majority of party members.

Following extensive consultations with his supporters and followers across the 18 local government areas in Ondo State, Otunba Afolabi and his loyalists have resolved to join forces with the PDP to ensure victory in the upcoming November Governorship Election.
