OSACA CONGRATULATES GOVERNOR AIYEDATIWA, AND HIS DEPUTY, ON THEIR SUPREME COURT VICTORY
The Ondo State Agricultural Commodities Association (OSACA) under chairman chief Abiodun Fred Adejo, has congratulated Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and his Deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami, on their victory at the Supreme Court, which upheld their election as duly elected leaders of Ondo State.
In a statement, the association, under the chairmanship of High Chief Abiodun Adejo and secretaryship of Hon. Akin Ogunniyi, described the verdict as a landmark affirmation of the people’s mandate and a triumph for democracy.
The Supreme Court, in a unanimous decision delivered on September 17, 2025, dismissed the petitions filed by opposition candidates including the PDP’s Agboola Ajayi, the SDP’s Otunba Akingboye Benson Bamidele, and the All Peoples Movement (APM). The apex court ruled that the November 16, 2024 governorship election which produced Aiyedatiwa was credible, valid, and reflective of the will of the people. The justices also cautioned against frivolous election petitions that delay governance and waste judicial resources.
According to OSACA, the ruling has provided the much-needed stability for the administration to focus on its developmental agenda. “This is a victory not just for Governor Aiyedatiwa and his Deputy, but for every citizen of Ondo State who desires peace, progress, and purposeful leadership,” the association said.
The body pledged its full support to the present administration in driving agricultural transformation, food security, and wealth creation, noting that Ondo State’s vast agricultural potential requires consistent policies and strong government partnerships.
OSACA further expressed optimism that with the legal battles now over, Governor Aiyedatiwa’s government would accelerate projects and reforms that directly benefit farmers, investors, and the wider populace.
