NUMLI APPEAL TO PRESIDENT TINUBU ON RISING COST OF LIVING.

NUMLI Appeals to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Address Rising Cost of Living in Nigeria; Nationwide Protests by Nigerian Mothers Planned

The Nigerian Unique Mothers Leadership Initiative (NUMLI) has made an urgent appeal to Nigeria's President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to urgently address the rising cost of living in the country. This appeal was made during a recent leadership meeting of the group, which was presided over by the group's president, Hon. Mrs. Aregbesola Nifemi, a renowned women and PWD advocate.

NUMLI, a non-profit organization that aims to empower and support Nigerian mothers in their quest for better living conditions, has observed with grave concern the increasing difficulties faced by Nigerian families in their daily lives. The group has identified the rising cost of living as a major factor contributing to the challenges faced by the average Nigerian family.

In a statement released after the leadership meeting, NUMLI expressed its concern about the impact of the rising cost of living on Nigerian mothers and their families, particularly in terms of access to basic necessities such as food, housing, healthcare, and education. The group identified the situation as a serious threat to the overall well-being of Nigerian society and called on President Tinubu to take immediate action to alleviate the suffering of Nigerian citizens.

As part of its efforts to draw attention to the issue, NUMLI announced plans for a nationwide protest, which is set to take place in major cities across Nigeria. The protest, dubbed "Mothers, Stand Up," is aimed at raising awareness about the rising cost of living and demanding action from the government to address the issue.

Hon. Mrs. Aregbesola Nifemi, in her capacity as the President of NUMLI, urged Nigerian mothers from all walks of life to join the protest and make their voices heard. She noted that the time for silence and inaction is over and that it is now vital for Nigerian citizens to come together to demand a better life for themselves and their families.

"As mothers, we have a unique responsibility to ensure the well-being of our families and society as a whole," said Hon. Mrs. Nifemi. "We cannot stand idly by while our children and families suffer due to the rising cost of living. It is our duty as mothers to speak out and demand change. We call on President Tinubu and the Nigerian government to take immediate action to address the rising cost of living and improve the living conditions of our citizens."

The NUMLI leadership meeting also discussed possible solutions to the rising cost of living, including proposed policy changes, increased investment in social services, and the need for a more inclusive and sustainable economic model. The group expressed hope that the nationwide protests and their ongoing advocacy efforts would lead to meaningful change in Nigeria.

In conclusion, the Nigerian Unique Mothers Leadership Initiative (NUMLI) is calling on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Nigerian government to address the rising cost of living in the country and improve the quality of life for Nigerian families. The group's nationwide protest, "Mothers, Stand Up," aims to raise awareness and demand action from the government to ensure a better future for all Nigerian citizens.
