Ifedore, 7th Jan, 2024.

Hon. Richard Adetoye Adetanmi, the Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Chairman for Ifedore Central, has come forward to debunk allegations suggesting that he signed a petition along with others against Engr. Razaq Obe, the Honorable Commissioner for Energy and Minerals Resources in the state. The refutation comes in light of recent rumors circulating within the community that Hon Richard is among those who signed the petition.

The APC  and Ifedore LCDA leaders had been inundated by some group of people who jointly signed a petition against one of the brightest commissioners in the Ondo state cabinet, the person of Engr Rasaq Obe, the Honorable Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources in Ondo State. The statement read, "We would like to categorically state that Hon. Richard Adetoye Adetanmi has never composed, signed, or submitted any petition seeking to malign or discredit Engr. Razaq Obe's reputation or position as the Honorable Commissioner for Energy and Minerals Resources."

Adetoyes, a young promising politician emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive working relationship between himself and the Commissioner's office, highlighting their mutual commitment to the development and progress of Ifedore Central. "Both Hon. Richard Adetoye Adetanmi and Engr. Rasaq Obe share a common goal of improving the lives of residents within the LCDA, and any suggestion otherwise is both unfounded and baseless," the statement added.

The allegations against Hon. Richard Adetoye Adetanmi were not addressed directly, but his office assured the public that a thorough investigation would be conducted to identify the source of these false rumors. "We urge everyone to disregard these unsubstantiated claims and dwell on the positive strides that have been taken by our administration to improve the quality of life for all Ifedore Central residents," the statement concluded.

Engr. Razaq Obe has yet to release an official statement regarding the involvement in the allegations, but sources close to the Commissioner have stated that he stands by Hon. Richard Adetoye Adetanmi and is confident that the truth will prevail.

As the situation unfolds, the community of Ifedore Central remains hopeful that the relationship between the Hon.Richard Adetoye Adetanmi and the Commissioner will continue to be one of collaboration and mutual support.
