Mrs. Usor Eteng Advocates for Women's Involvement in Political Leadership in Ondo State on Ireti Otun Program.

Comr. Mrs. Usor Eteng, the President of Non-Indigene Support Group, today appeared on Adaba FM Akure's Ireti Otun program to discuss the importance of women's involvement in political leadership in Ondo State. The program, which focuses on political and social issues, is proudly sponsored by Otunba Dr. Paul Akintelure, a famous and foremost governorship aspirant in Ondo State.

Mrs. Usor Eteng emphasized the need for increased women's representation in political leadership positions, emphasizing that it is essential for promoting gender equality and fostering a more inclusive society. She highlighted the fact that women's perspectives and experiences can bring unique insights and solutions to the decision-making process in the political sphere.

During the program, Comr. Mrs. Usor Eteng discussed the challenges women face in entering and remaining in political leadership positions in Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole. She attributed these challenges to cultural norms, gender stereotypes, and a lack of political will to create an inclusive environment for women in politics.

The President of Non-Indigene Support Group called for increased political party support for women candidates, as well as for the implementation of policies that would promote gender equality in politics. She emphasized the importance of mentorship and capacity-building programs for young women interested in pursuing political careers, as well as the need for more women in influential positions to serve as role models for future generations.

Otunba Dr. Paul Akintelure, a famous and foremost governorship aspirant in Ondo State and the sponsor of the Ireti Otun program, expressed his support for Comr. Mrs. Usor Eteng's advocacy for women's involvement in political leadership. He stated that gender equality is a crucial factor for the overall development and progress of society.
