Auga, an ancient town in Akoko, Ondo State, has been plunged into total darkness for the past 12 years, leaving residents in distress and businesses in ruins. Once a vibrant town that enjoyed a steady power supply, Auga’s fortunes changed when a transmission line sparked, cutting off electricity completely. Despite being surrounded by communities with stable power, Auga remains the only town in the area suffering from prolonged darkness. Hon. Engr.
