AUGA IN 12 YEARS DARKNESS:RESIDENTS CRY FOR HELP. Auga, an ancient town in Akoko, Ondo State, has been plunged into total darkness for the past 12 years, leaving residents in distress and businesses in ruins. Once a vibrant town that enjoyed a steady power supply, Auga’s fortunes changed when a transmission line sparked, cutting off electricity completely. Despite being surrounded by communities with stable power, Auga remains the only town in the area suffering from prolonged darkness. Hon. Engr. Steve Giwa, a respected son of the soil and former Chairman of the Ondo State Water Corporation during the Mimiko administration, has stepped forward to appeal on behalf of his people. He is calling on the present government of Ondo State, led by His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, to rescue the community from this hardship and restore electricity. According to Hon.
