Professor Fakinlede buries in-laws in a grand style.

LATE MADAM OLAYEMI ELIZABETH LAID TO REST IN AKURE CITY. 

  Family, friends, professional associates and  well-wishers from all works of life gathered in the city of Akure today August 4, 2023 to bid the Matriarch of AyenisLate Madam Olayemi Elizabeth Ayeni a heartfelt farewell. 

 The final burial ceremony which took place at St Thomas's Anglican Church Isinkan, Akure Ondo State Nigeria, was a poignant tribute to a remarkable woman known for her selflessness and significant contributions to her community.

As the news of Madam Olayemi Elizabeth's passing spread on the 19th of May 2023, an outpouring of grief and admiration swept through the city. Today friends, family, and community members gathered at St.Thomas's Anglican Church to pay their respects and honor her memory. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of gratitude for the impact she had on countless lives.

During the funeral service, heartfelt eulogies were delivered, highlighting Madam Olayemi Elizabeth's unwavering dedication to helping others. She was remembered as a pillar of strength, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her selflessness and compassion knew no bounds, and her positive influence touched the lives of many.

Born on August 26, 1938, at Okeruwa Ikare Akoko to Late Pa Samuel Abegunde Orogun and Late Madam Esther Ibitola Ige Orogun. Till death, mama lived a fulfilled life. Late Madam Elizabeth Ayeni attended St. Stephen Primary School, Ikare Akoko in 1946 and St Monica's Anglican School, Ondo, Ondo State Nigeria in 1955 where she obtained her secondary  school certificate. 

Mama taught briefly at Jubilee Modern School in 1956 before she traveled to London, Uk to meet her childhood sweetheart and to further her education. 

In addition to her philanthropic endeavors, Madam Olayemi Elizabeth was an accomplished civil servant who rose to the position of Chief Executive Officer before she retired in the year 2000. She excelled in her field and was widely respected for her expertise and professionalism. Her legacy as a trailblazer and role model will continue to inspire future generations.

In her tribute, Mrs. Yetunde Fakinlede, mama's second daughter, eulogized her late mother for making her the woman she is today. "I cherished you for your prayer for me and my family and the warm love you have for me and my family"

Professor Solomon Fakinlede, the chairman of Golden CRI, and husband of mama's second daughter Yetunde, described the Late Madam Elizabeth as a woman who was always grateful to God for having him as a son. " She called me a gift from God and I was always happy to hear those expressions". 

The final burial ceremony was a solemn yet uplifting event, as attendees from all works of life  celebrated Madam Olayemi Elizabeth's life and the indelible mark she left on the community. The procession to the gravesite was accompanied by heartfelt prayers and songs, reflecting the deep sense of loss felt by all.

After the internment at St Thomas's cemetery Ondo Rd, Akure. The guests proceeded to St. Thomas's Event Hall for a lavish reception where Amb. Femi Ajape mastered the ceremony. 
Among the prominent guests at the event are; Dr. Adegbenro Omolulu, Register Elizade University, Dr.(Mrs)Yemisi Olorunnisola, Chairman Board  of Directors of Wema Bank, and President of Egbe Omo Ilara Mokin, Dr. Fadola immediate past President of Egbe Omo Ilara Mokin and Professor Fakoya. 

Madam Olayemi Elizabeth's final journey serves as a reminder to cherish the time we have and to make a positive impact in the lives of others. Her legacy will continue to inspire acts of kindness and compassion within the community for years to come.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
