HON. (DR.) GBENGA FASUA DONALD GIVES GLORY TO GOD AS HE STEPS DOWN AS THE SECRETARY TO AKURE SOUTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT

Akure, Nigeria - 
"As I reflect on my time as the Secretary to Akure South Local Government, I am reminded of the transient nature of power and position ......" This is the word of Hon. (Dr.) Gbenga Fasua Donald, the Secretary to Akure South Local Government, stepped down from his position on the 30th of August 2023, he expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve the community.

During his tenure as Secretary, Hon. (Dr.) Gbenga Fasua Donald worked diligently to ensure the smooth running of the local government administration. His commitment to public service and dedication to the welfare of the people of Akure South were widely acknowledged and appreciated.

As he handed over the reins of office, Hon. (Dr.) Gbenga Fasua Donald expressed his deep gratitude to God for the strength and wisdom to carry out his responsibilities effectively. He recognized that his achievements were only possible through divine guidance and support.

In his farewell speech, Hon. (Dr.) Gbenga Fasua Donald thanked his Boss, the outgoing chairman of Akure South Local Government, the Head of Local Government Service, the Directors of various departments the staff, and all the residents of Akure South for their cooperation and support during his tenure. He acknowledged the challenges faced by the local government and commended the resilience and spirit of the people in overcoming them.

Hon. (Dr.) Gbenga Fasua Donald also expressed his appreciation to the Governor of Ondo State and other government officials for their guidance and encouragement throughout his time in office. He recognized the collective effort of the government in working towards the development and progress of Akure South.
"I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to the Executive Governor of Ondo State ARAKUNRIN ODUNAYO AKRERDOKU (SAN) and to my esteemed leaders in Akure South too numerous to mention who entrusted with me the role of Secretary of Akure South Local Government. Your belief in my capability and the opportunity to engage in grassroots governance have been invaluable experience".

In his elating mood, the erudite Medical equipment merchant turned politician also gave kudos to those leaders who  mentored and guided him throughout his tenure."I am truly grateful to every one of you. Your mentorship and guidance have played a significant role in shaping me and I consider myself fortunate to have been under the wing of your political leadership. 

Furthermore, Hon. (Dr.) Gbenga Fasua Donald emphasized the need for continued unity and cooperation among the residents of Akure South. He urged them to support the incoming Secretary and work together for the betterment of the local government.

"As the chapter comes to a close, I stand at the threshold of new beginnings. I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and the chances to continue making a positive impact in different spheres. I carry with me the lessons learned, the friendship formed and the knowledge gained during my tenure as the Secretary to Akure South Local Government Chairman" Fasua concluded
