Adojutelegan felicitates Oka- Odo monarch at this year New Yam Festival.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OKA ODO COMMUNITY AS THEY CELEBRATE THE 2023 NEW YAM FESTIVAL 

The coordinator of Omoluabi Renewal Movement for Wale Akinterinwa(ORM 4 WA), Comrade Abiola Mayowa Adojutelegan, on behalf of the group has congratulated HRM Oba(Sir) Pius Omiyejola Akande ANIVS, KSJI The Asin of Oka -Odo and all the sons and daughters of Oka- Odo community on this year New Yam Festival. 

The group, led by Comrade Adojutelegan is one of the leading social political group in Ondo State that has pitched his tent with Hon. Wale Akinterinwa the present Commissioner for Finance in Ondo State to support his governorship aspiration. 

Oka Odo is a community in Akoko Southwest local government of Ondo State. The town is renowned for its agricultural produce and rich cultural value. Hence, yam is hugely celebrated yearly as her chief crop at the harvest of new yams from the farm in an elaborate ceremony known as the New Yam Festival. 

This year celebration brought together the illustrous sons and daughters of Oka-Odo from across the globe and attracts tourists from far and near. 

In his congratulatory message to the revered monarch which was made available to The People's Lens Magazine on Saturday, the astute leader of ORM 4 WA, Comrade Adojutelegan said  "It's a time to rejoice, unite, and honor the rich traditions and heritage that make your community special. May this occasion be filled with joy, togetherness, and the strengthening of bonds among community members. May you continue to preserve and cherish your cultural identity, and may each new yam festival be a testament to the resilience and unity of your community." 

"Enjoy the festivities and celebrate this special occasion with pride!"Adojutelegan nodded. 

Meanwhile, the traditional ruler during the widely celebrated festival opened the ceremony with prayers of Thanksgiving for the favor of nature and the importance of yam to the community and her farmers. 

Royal fathers and dignitaries from neighboring communities also paid respect to the HRM Oba (Sir) Pius Omiyejola Akande during the festival.
